This animated image shows the difference of information between the different datasets describing orography information.
- DTED 1 is the data available freely from Dataforwind
- BD ALTI is the data sold by IGN for the French territories
- DEM HRS is the data provided by Spot Image with a cell size better than 30m and customised for the wind industry.

The area is located in Corsica, France. The Scan 100 provided here is a small map extract from the same area. One can note that the small structures visible in the HRS Data are small roads of Corsica. These roads are 5 m wide. The extract of HRS shows the quality of SPOT data and its ability to catch small changes in the landscape.
